“The greatest gift you give your wife is loving God above her life. And thus I bid you now to bless: Go love her more by loving less.”
John Piper via Love Her More and Love Her Less
Goodness, what a joyful day this was!
Toni and Pat were married on a gorgeous August afternoon, with their wonderful families and friends surrounding them. With genuine laughter, uncontrollable grins, faithful prayers and lots of dancing, Toni and Pat began their lifelong journey together. I don’t think I stopped smiling behind my camera this whole day. From the way that Pat looked at Toni during their first look all the way to the the greek dancing during their reception, the day was filled to the brim with so much joy. This job that I get to do is a gift, especially when I get to work with such wonderful couples like Toni and Pat, who were a constant reminder to me that marriage is about so much more than just the wedding day.
I have been thinking about the poem that was shared during their ceremony since their wedding day. It is a beautiful reminder of the posture that we should have towards marriage and towards our spouse – the best way to love your spouse is to love God more. Throughout the time that I have gotten to know Toni and Pat, I know that this is the way that they desire to love each other, and because of that, they are going to make a difference in the lives of people around them for the glory of God!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Anderson! I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses your marriage!
