Stephanie and Kevin are the kind of people that I would want to spend a whole afternoon with. They are kind, compassionate and incredibly motivated, and the beautiful thing is that if it weren’t for our somewhat unconventional engagement session, I wouldn’t know that about them. I met them downtown Durham back in December, and it was really cold outside but they were such good sports. After spending time walking up and down the quaint and historic streets of Durham, Stephanie suggested that we take a quick break and get some coffee. We stepped into the cozy Beyu Caffe, ordered lattes and spent the next 30 minutes sipping our warm, delicious drinks and getting to know each other. They told me all about their relationship; how they their relationship has been long distance for so many years so they could pursue their dreams to be doctors, how supportive they are of each other and their careers, and most importantly how they truly just can’t wait to be married and to be together in the same city. It was an unforgettable afternoon, and really made me think that carving out some time in each engagement session just to talk might be a really great idea!
Congratulations Stephanie and Kevin! I am so looking forward to your lovely Duke Gardens Wedding in the Spring!
