There are so many sweet memories that come to mind when I think of Sarah and Will’s wedding day. From their amazing attitudes about the rainy weather to the most heartfelt moment when Sarah’s father walked her down the aisle, this day was filled with so much love and joy. It is so evident that Sarah and Will are better together. So much so, that Sarah’s nephew even corrected the officiant and yelled out “Swill” during the ceremony; the combination of their names. The joy of this wedding reminded me of how fortunate I am to do what I do; capture heartfelt memories that will leave a legacy.
Above all the precious moments that happened during the day, my favorite by far was when I got to join the newlyweds in their getaway pick up truck and drive to UNC’s campus for even more portraits of the two of them, in the pouring rain. Sarah put her Hunter Boots on, grabbed a classic white umbrella and got her dress soaking wet like it was no big deal. They wanted pictures on their beloved campus, and nothing was going to stop them! “I have to say, in all the nerves and craziness of the day, I don’t really remember too much of what happened other than that I ended the day a drenched and happy married lady,” Sarah told me after seeing her wedding pictures.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Will Barker! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your meaningful wedding celebration!
