There is one thing that will never get old: seeing a bride completely unfazed by the weather because she’s so full of joy. There were so many things that *could* have upset sweet Sarah the day of her bridal portraits, but she remained calm, beautiful, and she never stopped smiling.
Since this was a destination location, the date and flights were chosen a long time ago, so we all knew that rescheduling wasn’t an option, even when we saw the steady rain on the forecast. When Sarah’s plane got held in the air (they were literally circling above the city they were landing in!) because of bad weather, delaying her arrival by 2 hours, she just rolled with it. She was all smiles when she arrived, and even though it wasn’t perfect weather, I’d say her bridals turned out so dreamy.
I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful bride this past weekend, and she and her now husband were radiant. Their wedding celebration was one that I’ll never forget. Not only was their bridal party the biggest, most loving group of people I’ve ever photographed, the love that Sarah and Drew had for each other was so deep and real that everyone who was there literally felt it. I felt it. It was such a sacred weekend, full of joy and celebration. As a photographer, it’s simply one of those weddings I’ll never, ever forget.
Congratulations, Sarah and Drew! I’m so incredibly happy for you both!
