There is something so sweet about this wedding, it’s hard to put it in words. Sara and Matt’s love for each other is contagious! You’ll see what I mean when you see the joyful smiles on their faces. Their wedding day was simple and elegant, just like them and was centered around their meaningful Catholic ceremony and reception that was filled with tons of dancing, mingling with their guest and heartfelt toasts. Sara and Matt are kind, calm, and trusting, and that is exactly what their wedding day felt like. I loved the pop of color in the bridesmaid’s dresses and Sara’s stunning wildflower inspired bouquet, and the simple reception decor, that was the perfect reflection of them as a couple. They incorporated things that they loved like sunglasses wedding favors and used beer growlers from their some of their favorite breweries for their floral table arrangements.
When we arrived at Dorothea Dix Park after the ceremony to take portraits, it was really windy and the weather couldn’t make up it’s mind. We had umbrellas ready, and Sara and Matt were up for anything! As you’ll see below, within a matter of 10 minutes, we experienced rain, overcast and then full sun. It was crazy, but actually pretty fun as I remember thinking to myself “Wow, Sara and Matt will get pictures in all different weather circumstances! How cool!”
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Freeman! Thank you for making me feel like one of your greatest friends and trusting me to capture this special day!
