Happy Monday! After 7 days of vacation + 4 days of being sick, I am very happy to be a busy bee in my studio this Monday morning. What a trip we had! I made some serious memories with my dear friend (as Abigail Adams would say), and I am so grateful for the opportunity to visit some wonderful places. (I’m officially in love with the city of Boston.) I’ll be posting a 3-part recap of our trip this week, so stay tuned for all of our adventures!
We began in the Big Apple, which was exciting and exhausting. My favorite memories were:
– Taking a rowboat out in a lake in Central Park
– Running on the Highline (my new favorite park in NYC)
– Eating subway on the subway!
– Visiting the 9/11 memorial on 9/12 (seeing all the flags/flowers/gifts was quite powerful)
– Enjoying Patzeria’s Pizza in Times Square
Notice we had to change our run location, in order to fit everything in. I’m so glad we did! Running on the Highline was so much fun.
And here we begin our trip! First up: Central Park
Then taking the Subway to the 9/11 Memorial:
We ended our time in New York with the Broadway production of Mary Poppins. It was so charming! Bert was definitely my favorite. Arriving at the Grand Central Station the next morning was very exciting – I definitely felt like I was in a movie. And I officially love traveling by train.
Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow!
