This wedding had to be one of my all time favorites of 2018. Negin and Ren had already been leagally married, during a beautiful ceremony they had with Ren’s family in Colorado; making this celebration even more fun. Negin and Ren got ready together, allowing them to spend the morning together which is so rare at weddings. I often feel like I am building time into the timeline, just for the couple to have a minute to breathe and relax away from everyone. With this wedding day, however, we were able to be relaxed all day, and the events leading up to the actual ceremony were some of my favorites.
After a morning filled with sweet, relaxed time; we headed to the ceremony where they had a traditional Sofreh and one of their dear friends explained the significance of each item throughout the ceremony. With Negin having a Persian family, they were very aware of all of the details, but for their friends and Ren’s family it was sweet to be able to hear about the traditions and commitment they were making. Negin and her mother created a beautiful Sofreh and every detail of it was stunning!
After some family photos and introductions, they moved to dinner under the stars and let me tell you: outdoor receptions will always be my favorite thing. There is something so beautiful, yet so comfortable about eating at long tables together with family and friends, outside on a perfectly warm, yet not too hot, evening. The details at the tables were a gorgeous reflection of Ren and Negin and the candle lit dinner created a beautiful ambiance for some black and white film.
Every bit of Negin and Ren’s day was beautiful, but I think my favorite part was getting to know them as a couple. The way they encourage each other and those around them, even on a day that is supposed to be all about them, blows me away. In everything they do they consider each other and their families. They go above and beyond to make sure those around them are always taken care of and think of themselves last. Both Negin and Ren are in the medical field and I can only imagine this sort of demeanor will always take them far with patients, but above that; the impression and legacy they will leave on those around them because of the way they love others will last a lifetime.
Negin and Ren, it was an honor to capture your beautiful Charlotte day! Cheers to a lifetime of joy together as husband and wife!
