I am so excited for y’all to meet our amazing Fall intern today! In the past couple of weeks, Becca has quickly become an incredible addition to our team. She’s joyful, hard working and loves so many of the same things that we do – her family, photography and Jesus. She has one of the most humble spirits and her willingness to learn is indescribable. Our team has a full fall season ahead of us, and I’m so glad to have Becca by our side to help with everything from assisting weddings to course launches to tons of trips to the UPS Store! (Fun side story: Becca and I actually met in college years ago when she started dating her now husband who happened to be one of Jamie’s roommates!) I’m excited for you to get to know her too! Take it away Becca!
Where are you from?
Browns Summit, NC
What do you love about photography?
I love the emotion and memories that photos capture. I love good writing, but there is something about a photo that evokes memories and joy that words can’t quite replicate.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about the Gospel and who Jesus is to me. Also I’m pretty passionate about my family and studying God’s Word, particularly through BSF.
What are some small things that make your day better?
Coffee. Fresh Flowers. Snuggling my Tilley dog. Making the bed. Prayer. A good song.
What’s the last adventure you went on?
Ehh last big adventure was about a year ago when we took a baby moon to Ireland and I was 30 weeks pregnant. Our most recent small adventure was to Floyd, VA where we explored and stayed at an adorable Hipcamp site.
What is your favorite food?
Ice Cream or a taco salad from Barberitos
What is something that no one knows about you?
I love to Ballroom dance. If I won the lottery I would take ballroom dance classes everyday and pretend I was a princess.
Favorite thing to do on a beautiful day?
Go water skiing at the lake.
What are you excited about in the next 12 months?
We are in the process of renovating my Mamaw’s house, and 12 months from now it should be complete and beautiful (prayers welcomed)!
Coffee or tea?
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Ehhh, I love sleep. I would say more night owl then morning.
What are you grateful for right now?
I’m grateful for a healthy, happy, perfect little boy that turns 1 this week, and for a husband who loves and supports me and my dreams. Also for an extended family that loves and cares for us so well.
