this is me being super excited that i’m here at love affair!  yes, i am that ridiculous.

so today is the 2nd full day of love affair.  yesterday was amazing – we started the week off with talking about balancing our lives with our photography businesses.  no kidding, we were all in tears within the first 15 minutes!  i never expected that.  i was expecting photography photography photography, but never how it can be a struggle, how it can sometimes strain our relationships, and how we, as photographers, tend to take photos of other peoples lives all the time while forgetting to take photos of those who mean the most to us. it was so powerful, and i needed it.

right now i’m listening to millie holloman, one of my top role model photographers, whom i have grown to love and admire even more! she sat down with me last night and talked through my work.  i didn’t even know what to do with myself i was so excited.  she, lauren, davina and kelly have been so helpful already.  yesterday, we were able to simply go around and watch them photograph and interact with models.  this is a shot that millie got!  LOVE it.

now i am off to explore a little with caroline, an amazing photographer and friend i have made since being here.  it is one of our favorite stores ever… anthropologie.  there is one 15 minutes away and it is calling our names! & then we’ll have a pool party. it seriously just keeps getting better!

i am having an incredible time.  what an amazing week!
