This is the quote that the Father of Bride shared during his toast to the newly married couple and I think that it embodies this celebratory day. From the very beginning, Kelsey and Tom kept their guests at the top of their priority. They made significant timeline decisions that really changed the flow of the day; they did a first look to get as many pictures done before the ceremony, extended their cocktail hour to an hour and a half so they could join their guests and spend time with them, and they decided to extend their reception longer than most that I’ve ever been to. I loved each of these decisions, not only because it allowed for us to take tons of beautiful pictures but because this was really the best decision for their guests.
Kelsey wrote a heartfelt note that was placed at each place setting about her mother who passed years ago. She nodded to her mother’s love of entertaining, gourmet food and good wine, and how they knew that her presence was with them on this day. The toasts from the Best Man and Made of Honor were heartfelt and hilarious, and their reception band made sure to keep the party going through all of the whole evening. I’m not kidding when I tell you the dance floor was packed the whole evening! Kelsey and Tom wanted to be sure that they guests felt every moment of their wedding day with them.
During their ceremony, the officiant said “Love doesn’t sustain commitment, commitment sustains love.” I couldn’t agree more with this. Kelsey and Tom, congratulations on a beautiful wedding day! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of it!
