Kelsey grew up in Durham and Tom spent his college years in Durham while attending Duke, but they didn’t cross paths until after college when they were both living in DC. They meet through mutual friends and who knew that Durham would be the common thread between the two? These two love the city of Durham, and when I say love, I mean really love Durham. They’ll be getting married at Duke Chapel and then celebrating with their closest friends and family at Washington Duke Inn. To tie everything together, they decided to have their engagement session done at the American Tobacco Campus. Kelsey and Tom are the kind of people that make you feel comfortable and included immediately. They are the kind of people who you feel like you’ve known your whole life, even though you just met.
As we walked around together, I learned so much about Kelsey and Tom, and soon realized how many things that we have in common. While they are quite the adventurers of the world, they also love to just stay at home and cook together. Kelsey described them as “a mix of old souls that want to stay home and cook and hang and young adventurers that always want to be on the go.”
Congratulations Kelsey and Tom! I’m so excited to capture your Durham wedding in September!
