This wedding will always hold such a special place in my heart. Not only do I adore this couple, their love for Chapel Hill and Harry Potter, their quirky senses of humor and their amazing hair… but this was my last wedding before I went on maternity leave! It was quite the hot July day, and I was 37 weeks pregnant. But goodness I’m so grateful It was Joelle and Justin’s wedding. They were so kind, they looked after me, and I was working with a team of amazing vendors (Erin Mclean Events and Heart Stone Films) who all cared for me so well.
Here are the things I loved most about Joelle and Justin’s day: how relaxed the getting ready time was, how beautiful the light was, how they prioritized the comfort of their guests (and their pregnant photographer) by having the ceremony in a gorgeous tent filled with AC, how we finished all of their portraits before the rain poured at the reception (hallelujah), how they were inspired by the floating candles at Hogwarts for their reception, and how they busted into their reception with the most amazing hora dance I’ve ever seen.
Congratulations, Justin and Joelle!
