I met the Ice family in Downtown Wake Forest for their family session… their backyard as well as my own! I had such a great time getting to know them as we walked around our quaint little hometown. Sessions like this make me very thankful for what I do!  In one hour I met this family, got to know them, photographed them as they sank into feeling natural with each other, and walked away feeling like I’d known them for some time and that if I ran into them at our local Harris Teeter, we’d be stopping to catch up for a while!

Side note… about midway through the session I was attacked by fire ants! I had just finished telling everyone about how I had been attacked by fire ants the day before shooting a wedding, and literally 3 minutes later I had another swarm of fire ants on my foot. It was hilarious and terrifying all at the same time! And for the rest of the session, I had the entire family looking out for ant hills while I walked!

Ice family, it was such a privilege photographing your sweet family. I so enjoyed meeting you guys and getting to know you!
