Meeting baby Grace was a highlight of my week! I was able to do Margaret and Jonathan’s maternity session a couple months prior, so I was excited about seeing the two of them holding their little one in their arms. I got one little glimpse of that sweet little head full of hair and almost fell over… SO adorable!
Y’all have heard me say before: you never really know what you’re going to get when you step foot into a home to do a newborn session. Every experience is so different; rarely are newborn sessions seamless, and sometimes they require lots of patience and flexibility! Simply put, Grace just wanted to be in her momma’s arms and wasn’t too terribly interested in laying by herself for her individual photos. We ended up changing up the order of the session (doing family photos first), and that worked out really well to keep her appeased. Everyone did so well with just going with the flow, and though it took a few hours, I was able to capture the sweet spirit of this little family.
Thank you Margaret and Jonathan for letting me document this special time for you guys!
