Admiration. It’s what I have towards this couple and what they have towards one another. They love fiercely and it was so clear on this day that they have made such an incredible impact on those around them. Emily and Bryan are compassionate and caring, and they love their people. I will never forget at the very end of the night, Emily and Bryan walked through a magical line of sparklers and Emily took time to hug all of her friends at the very end of the line. She got in the car to leave and with tears in her eyes said “Wait, come on! Can’t everyone come with us?” Although everyone didn’t come with them on their honeymoon, I do know one thing: their friends will go with them wherever they go. Ride or die.
This day was covered by the Holy Spirit – the beautiful weather, the subtle moments of adoration and prayer, and the celebration of two becoming one. During the ceremony, their officiant said “It’s not the two of you that will make your marriage work, but Christ in you.” What a beautiful truth to be spoken over your marriage. Emily and Bryan, my prayer for you is that you will always be reminded of this and that when you are weak, Christ is strength in you and when you are strong, Christ is still strength in you.
