Lee gave a toast at one of his best friend’s weddings and in the toast he shared a list that the tow of them had written on a napkin one day. The list included 10 qualities that they wanted their future wives to have. Ella’s best friend was sitting in the crowd and after hearing his toast went up to him and said “I’ve got the girl that meets all of the qualities that you shared tonight” and he recognized her name because they had gone to the same high school. After many calls and text messages, Lee went to Nicaragua to visit her and the rest is history.

I love Ella and Lee’s story because it’s proof that 1. there is beauty in the waiting and 2. it’s possible that you could marry someone you already know. (That’s how it was for Jamie and me!)

Ella and Lee are some of the most kind, fun loving people I have ever met and within the first 5 minutes of being together, I felt like we had been friends forever. We decided to first spend some time together exploring downtown Columbia and taking some pictures around the beautiful State House. After our session, we walked down to Drip and got coffee together. From our meaningful conversations to just watching how much these two love each other, I loved every minute of our time together.

Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Deneen! I am so excited to see you again and capture your wedding day next weekend!
