I mean wasn’t it just yesterday that I photographed Beth and Shawn’s maternity session?! It definitely felt that way at Charlotte’s newborn session because she surprised everyone by coming almost a few weeks early!

Charlotte is truly a baby doll. She is such an itty bitty little thing, snug and warm and precious to hold. I literally could have spent the entire session just holding her and been a happy camper. But, there’s something about needing to take pictures that prevented that from happening!

Everything went really well for their session, and I marveled and admired how Beth and Shawn fit their roles as Mom and Dad so well already. One thing I noticed was how well they served each other. Shawn was eager to help out, clean up, fix snacks, offer water, do whatever for Beth as she cared for and fed Charlotte. Both of them, while perhaps a little sleep deprived, served each other and loved on their little one so joyfully.

Beth and Shawn – I know we’ll blink and I’ll be meeting up with you guys for Charlotte’s one year photos! For now – soak in those sweet little cuddles and enjoy this time with your brand new baby girl!
