I have SO much love for these two clients. One of my favorite aspects of this job is that I get to know each couple in a different way, and sometimes I click so much with my couples we truly become friends. With Blair and Nick a friendship was easy. From the very start I knew Blair and I would click; she is fun and spunky and has amazing taste. She and Nick made all of my photographer dreams come true by doing morning, coffee-drinking, couch-cuddling engagement session, and I knew going into her wedding I was going to love every detail. She had planned the day and the details to a T to make sure that every bit of it was a reflection of who she and Nick are as a couple.
What I didn’t realize, however, was how much I was going to love spending the day with them on their wedding day. Both Blair and Nick took our whole team in on their day and made us feel like we were a part of it, and not just there to capture it. They were constantly checking to make sure we were doing well, and chatting with us all throughout the day like old friends. It was so easy to serve and love them throughout their whole wedding planning process and a joy to be there as they committed their lives to each other.
Both Blair and Nick are so different, but compliment each other in the best way. And everyone else that was a part of their wedding day was so loved on by the bride and groom. I always feel like you can get to know a couple so well by all their closest friends and family, and these two are so, so loved and celebrated.
Each person that spoke about the two of the during their wedding weekend, mentioned that Nick had been searching for someone that had the “X” factor but just hadn’t quite found it. Then Blair came along. She was from out of town, and everything about her was the “X” factor. Blair, on the other hand, was very nonchalant about their meeting, definitely making Nick swoon more than he ever had about a girl. I just loved that this was said so much that weekend, because if you have ever met Blair, that is the perfect way to describe her. She most definitely has the “X” factor. That being said, I think the thing I love most about her, is that she pulls the “X” factor out of everyone else too, and champions them as they pursue whatever it is that makes them so unique. Nick is so kind and caring. Once he started swooning over Blair, I don’t think he ever stopped. These two danced the night away under their twinkly lit reception and I was reminded so much why I love what I do. Because of people like Blair and Nick I get to capture the best day of someone’s life and sometimes I even get new best friends out of it!
Blair and Nick, it was SUCH a joy to be a part of your wedding day. I will never be able to adequately tell you both how grateful I am for y’all. I can’t wait to see all the ways you change the world and love on people as a married couple!
