I love the way that The Oaks at Salem feels – comfortable and intimate, yet elegant. I love that all the events of a wedding day can happen so close together, while feeling like it could be multiple different locations – a countryside ceremony with an outdoor tented reception with dreamy market lights. The country vista is exactly what drew Amanda and Zac to this location, as they stumbled upon the venue while driving one day.
Amanda grew up Christian and Zac Jewish, so it was important to the couple that their ceremony reflected both families and celebrated both traditions. Zac’s dad build the beautiful Chuppah and used his own tallit as the covering, and a passage from First Corinthians was read aloud by Amanda’s brother. Amanda and Zac are so intentional with the people that they love, and it was such a joy to watch the way that they thoughtfully decided to include so many family members in their ceremony. During the reception, the hora was a huge hit, and it once again brought so many of their guests together!
