It’s no secret that the North Carolina Art Museum is one of my favorite places in Raleigh. It’s the perfect backdrop for any kind of pictures, a great place to walk around or have a picnic, you can enjoy a delicious meal inside their restaurant or spend a hot summer afternoon inside strolling through the ever-changing art exhibits! If you are in Raleigh and haven’t spent any time there, I highly suggest it! I was so excited to finally shoot a wedding there, and Alex and David threw the perfect celebration with their closest friends and family. And you better believe that their sweet pug, Miles made an appearance!
Some of my favorite moments from the day included recreating a groomsmen picture from David’s parent’s wedding day (the one of them on the chapel stairs), Alex and David joyfully ringing the St. Mary’s Chapel bell immediately after their ceremony and the energetic glow stick exit. I also love the way that their wedding reception flowed. They decided against a formal cocktail hour or a dinner, but instead had food stations that were constantly open. This allowed Alex and David more casual time to mingle with their guests, and for their guests to enjoy all that the museum offers!
Congratulations Alex and David!
