This maternity session brings me all the feels.
I’ve photographed Whitney and Nick’s engagement session, Whit’s bridal session, their wedding day, and their anniversary session. I’ve been following along with this sweet pregnancy, and I wish I could grab you by the face right now and say these words:
Whitney had cervical cancer and beat it. She knew this would affect their plans to have family, but didn’t know how. Long story short, after years of trying to have a baby and seeing a fertility specialist and 2 rounds of IVF, she got the long awaited news that she was pregnant!
As I was photographing her and Nick on the beach, she told me she had no idea how hard this journey would be. She said it has been one of the hardest things she’s ever walked through in her life, and she’s so grateful for the little boy growing strong in her. They have been praying and waiting, and to celebrate this new life by capturing this sweet bump made me so overwhelmingly happy. So grateful. So amazed that this is my job – to capture the most significant moments and miracles in the lives of couples and families.
I can only imagine how this little boy will feel when looking back at these images, knowing that his mom and dad fought for him and prayed for him for so long.
Congratulations to some already amazing parents. Whit and Nick, I’m so so happy for you both!
