When Sydney emailed me the address for their engagement session location, I had no idea it was going to be this beautiful. We even rescheduled the session at the last minute to take place in the morning instead of the afternoon since there was a storm in the forecast, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
I pulled up to a family farm with a field of tall grass and a beautiful pond and a lovely little house with a white picket fence and garden. (Can I ask for anything more? I think not.) I soon discovered this was Jamie’s grandfather’s land, and he grew up playing all over this land. We explored the most beautiful spots together, driving around on their golf cart, and I fell in love with the meaning of this place.
I also fell in love with this couple! I adored the way that Sydney and Jamie simply were together. It’s hard to put it into words. They seemed so comfortable with one another – not trying to impress each other, but they naturally just were together. It’s evident they both are strong individuals, but they made more sense together. They were at ease, natural, comfortable, fun, full of joy, and fully themselves.
It’s this old kind of love that makes me confident that their marriage will be so sweet, comfortable, and rooted in real love.
I’m so excited for Sydney and Jamie’s wedding next year!
