This family, this session… I can’t even.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: one of my favorite things about newborn sessions is the raw emotion that can feel so thick in the room. This state of emotion produces some of the best moments that you will ever be present for as a photographer. This session in particular was special because Heather is a dear friend of mine. I can be kind of tender anyway, and I’m totally one of those people who cries at the sight of other people crying, so needless to say the tears flowed as my friends intently and emotionally studied their brand new baby girl in the first days of her life.

Other sweet moments in this session? Definitely watching big brother Destry with his new sister was a highlight. He was so gentle with her and treated her with such caution and care. Des is getting so big, and is seriously one of the most polite and outgoing little people under the age of 3 you’ll ever meet. He calls me Mervis (his attempt at Libis, one of my nicknames), and it’s the cutest thing in the world!

I just love this family so much, and Baby Sutton is simply adorable and the perfect addition!
