Right after I arrived to the Fitzpatrick’s home, we spent some time remembering and laughing about Stevie’s grand entrance into the world. Goodness, I’ll never forget it! It was so sweet to have some time with Ford, Jenn and baby Stevie, and it took me back to so many memories of her big sister Evelyn’s newborn session. Yet at the same time, there’s something sweet and different about Stevie – she is just so unique. She is calm and relaxed, she has a head full of dark hair, and she already seems so at home in this world – like she was always meant to be here. And she sleeps! Goodness she sleeps like a champ. I just adore this little peanut.
When Evelyn ended up joining us, it was too precious for words. Evelyn held Stevie for the first time, and we all melted while I took what felt like a million photos.
Can I just say there is something so special about adding a new life to a family? About being in a home, taking it easy, and just holding a baby? Newborn sessions are slow paced and beautiful. There is an obvious shift that happens in the home. In the way the family interacts. In the way we laugh and cry and talk to one another… it’s like something sacred and wonderful has taken place.
That’s what I love about newborn sessions. Something sacred and wonderful has taken place. Welcome, baby Stevie. You are so, so loved!
PS. For all you dog lovers… I couldn’t resist but sharing a “Stevie and Tucker” pic. Scroll down to see a doggy + newborn photo that will make you smile so big!
