Morgan and John were raised with a firm foundation and deep tradition.
Foundation. Both Morgan and John’s families are a tight knit bunch. They are incredibly supportive, loving, respectful and are firmly based on strong marriages. They are friends with their siblings, not because they have to be but because the choose to be. They look up to one another, laugh with one another, and celebrate one another. I often found myself smiling on this day just watching all of them interact with one another like a fly on the wall. What an incredibly beautiful foundation both of these families radiate.
Tradition. I had the opportunity to witness and photograph so many amazing family traditions over their wedding weekend. Some included initiating Morgan into the Miller family with a paddle ceremony, toasting with Port wine saved from Morgan’s birth year, and John’s grandfather playing the bagpipes during cocktail hour as a nod to their Scottish heritage. This is what makes life fun and memorable! These are the things they will look back on and recreate with their children.
Morgan and I did gymnastics together for many years starting in middle school and being able to photograph her wedding day was such a sweet opportunity for me. We’ve keep in touch through social media over the years, but it was so much fun to meet John and get to know the man that she has chosen to spend her life with. These two are some of the most kind-hearted, generous, fun people I have ever met. They are truly better when they are together, and they encourage each other to be exactly who they are.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. John Miller V! It was such an honor to photograph this day that you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.
