I am SO excited to officially introduce you to our 2019 Spring intern, Morgan! You have probably seen lots of her on our instagram stories already, but now you can get to know her a little bit more too. She has already been with us since the beginning of March, and has been a HUGE help in the studio. She was already quite the familiar face around here, as she assisted us at several weddings last year, so we knew we loved her already, but I can’t even begin to tell you what a joy it has been to have her in the studio with us too. Morgan is incredible patient, a hard worker, and listens to all of our crazy antics with no judgement. I keep telling people Morgan is the friend I didn’t know I needed in my life until I met her, and I am so glad we still have quite a bit of time with her, because I think we would be lost without her!
So without further adou, I would love for Morgan to share a little bit about herself! Also if you want to follow along with her during her #nrpinternship and just all the fun things she does in life, you can find her on instagram: @morgssmac
Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are in life right now.
I am currently at junior at North Carolina State University studying Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. I’m also a volunteer Young Life leader at Broughton High School in Raleigh!
Where are you from?
Summerfield, North Carolina
What attracted you to NRP?
For starters, their work is beautiful and like nothing else I’ve ever seen. What attracted me most was the way each person on the NRP Team strives to serve every client and person they encounter. The way they glorify God through their work really stands out.
What do you love about photography?
I love that photography is timeless. I love that it captures so many precious memories and how we can look back on them and remember the exact emotions we felt in that moment.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about the Gospel, ministry, building relationships and NC State.
What are some small things that make your day better?
An iced vanilla latte, any chance to see a dog, getting some quiet time by myself to spend with Jesus, good music and quality time with a friend!
What’s the last adventure you went on?
In February I drove to Columbia, South Carolina with my cousin Sarah to surprise our cousin Marissa when she got engaged!
What is your favorite book?
What is your favorite food?
Mexican food or anything with ranch dressing.
What is something that no one else knows about you?
I haven’t done it in a while but my friend Ashley showed me how to make embroidery hoops and I love making them in my free time!
What is your favorite thing to do on a beautiful day?
If I can’t be on the beach, I love to sit outside and read, drive with the windows down and listen to music or go on a walk.
Coffee or Tea?
Coffee, for sure.
Are you a morning person or night owl?
Although I really don’t like waking up early, I love slow mornings.
What are you grateful for right now?
Right now I’m grateful for some really great friends, another year at the best university in the world and an opportunity to learn from the NRP team!
