You guys, I wish I was a guest at this wedding. It’s a rare thing for me to feel this way, but here are my reasons:
This couple. I could forreall just hang out with them and be their friends.
The food! The food was just so delicious.
The bridal party. Yes, it’s the largest bridal party I’ve ever photographed (almost 40 people). I was nervous, but by the end of the day, I realized it was wonderful being around so many dear friends you love so much.
The dancing. The DANCING!! I may or may not have found myself jumping up and down in the middle of a bunch of sweaty basketball players during the reception. It says a lot as a photographer when I honestly can say, I did not want to leave the dance floor. So. Much. Fun.
Their hearts for Jesus. This couple loves Jesus, and I felt like I shared the day with people I’ve known forever.
Now don’t get me wrong – I LOVED being Marie and Wade’s photographer. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have experience anything I’ve mentioned! This is what I love about my work. I get to experience incredible days like this one.
Marie has the sweetest spirit about her. She just shines. It’s hard to explain, but 5 minutes with her and you’d know what I’m talking about. Her eyes are welcoming and beautiful and warm. There’s never a time where there’s not a smile on her face. She is just lovely inside and out. She gives the tightest hugs, and I love that about her. And Wade is a Jesus loving, basketball loving, friendly and fun guy. Here’s my favorite attribute I learned about Wade: he’s loyal. He’s a loyal friend. Once he’s in your life, he’s not going anywhere. He’s also super determined: he gets his focus set on something he loves, and he chases it down until he gets it (like Marie). Also, he apparently has had a mullet at some point in his life, which makes me really want to be his friend even more.
Marie and Wade, if you can’t tell, I love you guys. I’m so happy for y’all, and honored to have been your photographer!
