Plain and simple, Leah is a girl after my own heart. She’s not afraid to be silly, to laugh, to make lists and stay organized. (Read her adorable blog here.) She loves all things gold: glitter, foil, shoes, you name it. And her wedding was Southern in every since of the word! Her beau Austen wore seersucker suits and bowties along with his dapper groomsmen. They were married in the gardens at Fearrington, and they celebrated with wonderful cuisine and lots (and lots) of dancing afterwards. What I love most about this couple is how they always focus on the heart of it all : their love for one another.
Austen scored some serious bonus points when he made a video for Leah on his iPad and sent it to her in lieu of a traditional note. It was so sweet for Leah to be able to see his face, his expressions, and to hear his voice moments before they saw one another for their first look. It was so creative, and it definitely made Leah cry (in a good way, of course!). Another favorite moment of mine was their vows. Both cried while saying them, wiping one another’s tears. No doubt this couple loves each other in a deep, selfless way.
Although it rained on their wedding day, nothing could wipe a smile off Leah and Austen’s faces! They had the best attitude and were so genuinely happy to be together, married. It was such a joy to capture their beautiful wedding celebration. Couples like this make me feel like I’m not even working – they’re just plain fun!
