I love it when couples choose session locations that really mean something to them. Kate and Marty share the love of sports, especially baseball. Marty played college baseball and Kate has been going to the Durham Bulls games since she was two years old. They also happened to be at a baseball game when they first said “I love you,” All of this made me thrilled to hear that they wanted to do part of their engagement session at the Durham Bulls Stadium. After spending some time at the beautiful Duke Gardens, we made our way over to the stadium, and I instantly saw their demeanor change. When we entered into the stadium, it was like they were home – completely comfortable and giddy about their surroundings, reminiscing on memories, and talking about how much their families were going to love these pictures. I loved seeing this side of them, as it helped me better understand who they are as a couple – simple and fun, caring and considerate, passionate and humble.

Kate and Marty, I can’t wait for your Durham wedding in the Spring!
