I drove into Saxapahaw, NC on a beautiful autumn afternoon and was struck by its beauty. Of course this would be the location that Kaitlin would choose! So adorable and charming, just like her style. Saxapahaw is a quaint, in-the-middle-of-nowhere town that loves community. They have outdoor concerts, a local coffee shop, a trail by the river, a general store, a mom & pop bookstore, and industrial architecture. Everything was within walking distance, too. I honestly couldn’t believe I had never been there before, being just outside of Chapel Hill. It didn’t take me long to fall in love with this adorable place!
Kaitlin and Clay chose this location because they frequent it often, especially in the summers. It has such significance for them! When they were dating, they would often drive to Saxapahaw to catch an evening outdoor concert or spend hours in the coffee shop getting to know one another. I love how this place carries such a significant meaning in their relationship. It was perfect!
I love this couple. Clay loves the Lord, loves missions, and dreams of planting their own church one day. Kaitlin loves the Lord and she loves Clay. She is a dreamer and an entrepreneur. We love every chance we get to work with Kaitlin! She runs a lovely vintage rental business here in the triangle area called Simply Put Vintage. If you’re looking for lovely vintage furniture and decor for your wedding day, you definitely need to stop by her warehouse and check it out! Her style is so charming. When we were discussing her wedding photography, she wanted to be sure I would be shooting in film. I knew we were a great fit when she said that! (Yes, I’ll be shooting in film in 2014… more info on this to come!)
Enjoy these sweet film images of Kaitlin and Clay. K+C… I cannot wait for your wedding day! You are a beautiful couple, inside and out. So grateful to know you both.
