Words cannot express how much I adore this wedding. The moment I met Jessie and Doug in my home studio, I loved them. I loved them as a couple, I loved how adorable Jessie’s style was, I love how practical and steadfast Doug was… everything about them was a perfect fit. Then, as I was hosting this consultation, the power went out. Yep! There we sat in my home studio, with 1 candle and some window light. They were so very gracious and understanding, and I was thrilled to hear they wanted me for their photographer after their not-so-perfect meeting. I am so glad they did!
You might remember their fantastic engagement session at the State Fair, and because it was so full of color and lights, I thought it would be hard to top it for their wedding. Well, I was wrong! As soon as we arrived to capture their day, I couldn’t believe how perfect everything was. I was swooning over every last detail. It made me want to have a wedding all over again. The peonies, the lace, the cupcakes, the beautiful mountain backdrop, the sprinkles, the confetti… it was so perfect. Jessie was perfectly calm and happy, making all of her bridesmaids laugh and she soaked in the joy of the day. Doug was steadfast, strong, calm, and ready. The way he looked at her as she walked down the aisle melted my heart. These two are perfect together.
So Jessie and Doug, thank you. It was such an honor to be there to capture your day. I hope you enjoy these photos for a lifetime!
