When I rode with Jean and Kevin to the State Fair last autumn for their engagement session, I got a chance to really talk with them and get to know them. Jean handed me a few photo albums to look through – one for each year of their relationship. That’s the kind of couple they are – they make time for what’s important. I know it’s not easy to take the time to make photo albums of all the important events you experience in a year, to tell the person you love how much you love them, to give your attention to those who are most important to you. But that’s exactly what Kevin and Jean do… they take that time. They prioritize what’s important, and I love that about them.
Their wedding day was the same way. They loved on one another, they took their time, they experienced the day together. As a photographer, I see so much rushing and hurrying and hustle and bustle. It was so refreshing to be a part of this day – a day that the couple truly enjoyed. Kevin and Jean also went out of their way to love on their guests! I was amazed at how much they loved on their guests (who were almost all from out of state!). It was such a sweet day.
Kevin and Jean – keep doing what matters. Keep your focus on what’s important. Keep being an example to all of us around you, as you grow in your love for one another. There is no doubt in my mind that you two will live long and happy lives together. Blessings to you!
