When you look at this session, you are going to see an adorable couple on the most beautiful day, so happy together, so in love.

When I look at this session, I see one of the most memorable sessions I’ve ever photographed, some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, one of the highlights of my career. And it was the last engagement session of the year. What a gift!

You see, Helena and Christian live in Germany.

They planned a 2 week trip to the US, and they planned specifically to come to Raleigh so that I could photograph them!!! Helena has been following me from Germany for years, and it was the biggest joy and delight for me to realize that I was a big part of their trip.

We had the most FUN! They taught me all kinds of German words, they were so humble and gracious. We laughed, I learned all about their families and their work. And then they shared the exciting news that they actually GOT ENGAGED just days before I photographed them, while they were in NYC! These were their engagement photos AND their “we got engaged!” announcement photos! How sweet is that?!

Helena and Christian, it was my joy and honor to photograph the two of you. You are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and if you are EVER back in NC, please please don’t hesitate to reach out. I count you both my friends now, and I am so grateful for how the internet can connect us, across the ocean. My biggest, heartfelt congratulations to you both! You are truly perfect for each other!
