I had the privilege of shooting the Harvey family’s photos at the beginning of November, and what a sweet time it was! It was Mrs. Harvey’s birthday, and her husband and children had just thrown her a surprise party the night before, where they revealed that a family portrait session would take place the next morning. The session took place at their home, which I love because it brings such a personal meaning to the photos. They pointed out memories to me as we strolled the yard – a giant magnolia tree where the kids played growing up, the front porch where they did pictures every year… story after story of precious moments (and funny ones!) that all took place in that house.

I come from a close family, so I love and respect a couple that raises a family that grows closer together as years go by. It is so evident to me that family is the utmost priority for these folks, and I just love it. And as a side note, can I just tell you how thoughtful they are? After our session that day they sent me home with loads of birthday cake and candy for my drive. My sweet tooth was definitely satisfied on the way home!

Harvey’s – it was a pleasure getting to know you guys! I hope you enjoyed the session and your photos as much as I did!
