In North Carolina, we always say that the weather is so unpredictable. Forrest and Camilo were married on a beautiful day in February at The Carolina Inn. It could have easily been dark and snowing, but instead it was warm and the sun was shining brightly and the foliage was beginning to bloom, giving us a gorgeous backdrop for some of their portraits.
I love the intimacy of their wedding day. Their families were close by at each meaningful moment and people had traveled from all over the world to celebrate with them. My favorite details from their wedding day were the thoughtful gifts that they gave to each other. Camilo received a gorgeous, custom painting from his favorite artist of the view from the place in Colombia where he told Forrest that he wanted to marry her. Forrest received a bag of goldfish, her favorite snack (and mine!) and a timeless rolex watch. They also sent their guests home with a small custom painting of the Old Well to remind them of the place where they were married. Their ceremony was bilingual and had sweet Colombian traditions intertwined throughout. There wasn’t a dry eye outside when Forrest walked down the aisle and all eyes were on Camilo as he genuinely reacted to seeing his bride for the first time.
Congratulations Forrest and Camilo! Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding day!

I like how you toned the photos. They are simple, yet elegant. Very beautiful.
