I adore this wedding. It’s once in a blue moon that I get to work a couple as fun as this one, with a story that’s just as unique as they are. William and English coming together as husband and wife was the most perfect celebration: whimsical, eclectic, and breathtaking. It was truly an honor being a part of their day.
The more I learn about Will and English’s story, the more I am amazed by it. They met in Chemistry class 6 years ago (hence their fun engagement photos at their high school), because English knew that Will was really good at Chemistry and she wanted to improve. (Or maybe she just wanted to sit by Will!) Their strong friendship was the foundation of their relationship, and it’s obvious they are still best friends to this day. I love that about them.
It wasn’t long after that when their relationship was really tested. A few years into their relationship, just after high school, English had to have a double lung transplant. I can only imagine the difficult time this had to be for both Will and English – so in love, so young, but so unsure of the giant mountain they were both about to climb together. I was brought to tears while photographing their ceremony when English was reading her vows. While vowing her heart and life to Will, she recalled the times that he stayed at the hospital with her all night and all day – never leaving her side. Because he was so faithful to stay right by her side through the most difficult times, she knew without a doubt he would be there for her the rest of their lives.
It’s not often that a couple so young has to face such challenges, but that’s what makes Will and English such a strong couple. They already have an “old love” about them – a love that is tried and tested, and proven true. Will and English, you are an exceptional couple. I am so thankful to know you and to now call you friends. Congratulations on the most beautiful wedding celebration!
