My mind is reeling. I am so grateful, so excited, so thrilled to have made some incredible friends this week at Engage 12! I have learned so much, eaten so much (good grief the food was amazing), and I am rolling up my sleeves in preparation for what’s to come. I love how my friend Lara put it : “Post-Engage Syndrome: creative unrest and wanting to have all of my new ideas implemented yesterday!” That exactly how I feel… I definitely have a case of Post-Engage Syndrome!
There will be more blogposts to come on my experience at Engage, but for now, I leave you with two of the most important things I experienced at Engage:
1. Knowledge and wisdom of those who have gone before me. It is so vital to surround yourself with mentors and experienced business owners who can share their mistakes, successes, and wisdom to guide the way. I am so grateful for all I have learned from those who have gone before me and built beautiful, successful businesses in this industry.
2. Relationships. When I began my business, I thought I had to do it alone. The more I grow, the more I realize how important it is to cultivate not only business relationships, but friendships with those who share the same field of work. What a breath of fresh air that has been for me this week: sharing a room with hundreds of like-minded business owners, many whom I now call friends.
Off to a day of brainstorming and sharing with my sweet husband. I don’t think he’s going to know what hit him!
