I’ll never forget the first time that Ellen and I spoke on the phone about her wedding photography. Within 2 minutes of talking with her, I truly felt like she was one of my best friends. Having never met before, we instantly found many things in common and the sound of her voice was warm and familiar. However, our relationship really clicked when she said “I really want to do our engagement session in this tiny place at the beach. It’s called Pine Knoll Shores, have you heard of it?” If you know me, you know that Pine Knoll Shores holds a special place in my heart as it’s where Jamie’s family has a condo and we have spent countless weekends down there over the past 8 years. It’s even where we did our engagement session! Come to find out, Drew’s family’s condo is in the building next door and they’ve had their boat next to Jamie’s family’s boat in the marina for years.
As we ventured around Beacon’s reach, taking pictures in all of their (and my) favorite places, I loved getting to them as a couple. And at the very end of our session, Drew said “Tonight was awesome because I got to be close to and kiss Ellen for an hour.”
Congratulations Ellen and Drew!
