You have probably heard me talk about my sister and her sweet family if you follow me here or on any social media. The truth is, she's my best friend. I talk with her all the time, and I'm so amazed at the mom she is. She has 5 little ones 5 and under, she's married to an awesome and hilarious man (who also happens to be a youth pastor). Their lives are chaotic and crazy, and I love it. Every time I visit I am overwhelmed at God's extravagant and crazy calling on their lives.

Yes, she struggled with infertility for years. Yes, she prayed since she was 4 years old that she would be a Mommy. Yes, she had identical triplets with NO fertility treatment. In fact, they weren't even trying to get pregnant. God STILL works miracles!

Chris and Sissy (aka Mary Lindsey) are celebrating their anniversary this week, so I thought I would share this sweet family session I did for them a little while ago. To follow along with her fun and crazy life, be sure to follow her blog!

You captured soooo many wonderful pictures and memories!! Thank you for your time and love. You are so adored!!!!

When I walked into the Schlieman's home, I was immediately struck by the beautiful pops of color everywhere, the photos framed and hung all over the walls, and the  fun patterns and textures that were sprinkled through their belongings and decorations.  The atmosphere was so comfortable too - I felt like I could take off my shoes, grab a drink from their fridge, and sit down and talk for a while. Rebecca has a way of welcoming you into her home that makes you feel just that - like you are home! It was so sweet to arrive first thing in the morning to capture the whole family : Mom, Dad, big sister Clara, and the newest addition, Lucy. (These girls clearly have Dad smitten.)

It's always a fun challenge (and a bit nerve-wracking) to photograph another photographer, but I absolutely loved my experience photographing Lucy's newborn session. Rebecca gave me a tour of her beautiful home, and then released me to do whatever I wanted to do. She made it clear that she was up for anything, and that I had full creative reign in the session. It wasn't difficult finding beautiful spots to photograph this sweet family, with the natural light filling their home and the fun colors everywhere! It was such a calm, beautiful, fun session for me. And little Lucy? Well, you'll see for yourself just how tiny and adorable she is!

Rebecca, you are such a beautiful Mom.

I kept saying how much I loved it when Joel held Lucy. She looks so tiny in his big Daddy arms :].

That last image just might be my favorite. Joel and Rebecca, thank you for allowing me to spend time with your sweet family and capture you and your girls!

It's so hard to believe it's been 1 year since Grace was born! These photos were taken just before Thanksgiving in celebration of Grace's first birthday, and also in celebration of one of Lara's upcoming projects she will be launching soon. So happy to capture these sweet moments between the two of them. And what a beautiful autumn day it was!

Lara did a sneak peak of these via Instagram, but to see them in large size on your blog? . . . . just amazing! They’re so crisp and clear, but warming at the same time. I love the light!!

What a Lovely smile you have Lara, as well your daughter Grace!!!!!!! Both of your smiles has made the occasion more and more cheerful, which might have reduced the work of the photographer saying “Smile Please!!!!!

This family, their sweet newborn girl, their cozy home, their adorable pup... every bit of this session just melted my heart. I met with the Kraszeski family on a chilly autumn morning to take photos of their sweet little Elizabeth. A warm greeting, an offer of coffee, and a fireplace blazing made me feel so welcome. We all quickly warmed up to one another, and baby Elizabeth did too! She was wonderful.

Travis and Blaire, I'm so happy for you guys. Congratulations on a beautiful little girl!

Words really can't express how much I love this family. In many ways, I feel like they are my family.  Bob and Michelle have served as leaders of the Bridge Youth Ministry for more years than we have been there. Over three years ago, they welcomed us in with open arms, and shortly after we found out that we literally lived within walking distance of one another's homes! The rest is history. They are the reason we got a great dane, and they own Winston's brother, Boaz! We walk dogs together, eat dinner together often, take care of each others' pups while we travel, share in ministry together, serve together, and simply do life together in so many ways. Bob has been my coach this past year (he is a 5-time Ironman and 1-time Ultraman!), and he is a huge reason I ran my half marathon this year. (He ran right beside me the whole time.) Michelle is a mentor, example, and one of my closest friends. And of course, Bobby and Chas are incredible young men - it's been such an honor to be a part of their lives.

Love each of you so much. (Especially you, Boaz!)  Enjoy these sweet photos... what a joy it was capturing a family so dear to my heart!
