Meet Jennifer and Nicholas!

I adore this couple. Not only do they make a gorgeous pair, they are the sweetest, kindest, most affectionate couple I've ever met. After spending time with them, I felt like I really knew them.  Nicholas was quick to give Jennifer the praise she deserves, telling her she is beautiful and wonderful. Jennifer returned his words with her sweet smile, affection, and kindness of her own. The compliments just kept coming. I was encouraged and blessed, just by being around them! The way they spoke so highly of one another speaks to their future - they will undoubtedly have a happy and blessed home.

And their style! I die. Seriously, one of my favorite engagement session outfits to date. I love that they are not afraid of accessories and color!

J & N... I can't wait for your big day!

Love this couple. They are sweet, quiet, and so happy. The more I watched them, the more I realized how content the two of them are just to be together. I imagined them in the future - married, sharing a home together, having the best time talking and cooking. It didn't matter if they were home alone, watching a movie, or eating dinner - they were together. That's all they care about. No one around them matters, no one can mess with them. When they are together, they are content. That's a recipe for a good marriage if you ask me.

I met them at the lovely Duke Homestead one morning, and I instantly fell in love with this location. Rustic barns, moss, fields, old architecture and trees - all within a very short walking distance. We had the best light and the best time! And we ended the session seconds before a downpour. It was pretty perfect.  Ashley and Dustin - I can't wait for your wedding!

Justine and Eric are two of the most genuine people I've ever met. So down to earth, so kind. I had the loveliest time with them strolling around downtown Raleigh, and I must say - we happened upon some truly magical little spots. The light was incredible, the weather perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better! I left their session so happy, eager to share these images!

I love watching these two together. Eric truly is a Southern gentleman. He treats Justine with such love and kindness, he care for her and how she's feeling more than he thinks of himself. He is already acting like a loving husband of 30 or 40 years... you've seen them... the husbands that open doors, carry bags, and show love to their wives in the little ways. That's Eric for you. It's clear he's going to make a strong and supportive husband for the rest of their lives.

Justine carries passion, a tender heart, and a vibrant personality. She loves to laugh, and to make Eric laugh. She also has great style! (I was taking silent notes when observing her adorable outfits.)  Originally from PA, Justine is the perfect compliment to her Southern gentleman. They truly bring out the best in each other.

Justine and Eric... I cannot wait for your wedding day!

I seriously LOVE these two! Watching Nick and Stacie hang around each other for an afternoon did my heart good. They are perfect for each other in so many ways, and it makes me so thankful and joyful that they found one another.

Stacie and I grew up together, in a fun and unusual way. Yes, we went to the same school and were friends at school, but my favorite memories with Stacie included traveling to Hawaii and running around hotels at weekend functions. Our parents were in the same business, which meant that we, the kids, tagged along on fun trips and hung out together. Stacie and I, along with our brothers and sisters and all the other business kids, made a ton of fun memories together. Staying up late watching movies, eating pizza, trying new things (like surfing!) together, running around the hotels playing the biggest game of hide and seek you've ever seen... just to name a few. Fast forward a few years and now, Stacie is my hair stylist... she keeps me lookin' good.  (She even did my hair on my wedding day!) She is talented, beautiful, motivated, confident, a go-getter, and most of all - joyful. This girl knows how to enjoy life to the full. I'm so thankful we've remained friends through the years.

I've gotten to know Nick a little at church, but mostly during their engagement session. All I can say is that he is the perfect fit for Stace. Strong, steady, loving and confident, he really treasures her. Just by watching them interact, I can tell that he is going to be her rock, her closest friend, for the rest of their lives. Just by being himself, Nick is the perfect balance and compliment to Stacie. I'm so sure they will be so happy together.

We took all of these photos at Stacie's beautiful home (their future home together)! It was so relaxed... so them.

Love love love Stacie's ring. I'm just a little obsessed. If you haven't already noticed from the images, Stacie has amazing style - so I loved incorporating her vintage S&P shakers in this ring shot!

And maybe my favorite e-session idea yet: pizza.

Nick and Stacie - congratulations! I cannot wait for your beautiful wedding in just a few weeks!

This couple has it all. They make a beautiful pair, they love life together, they know how to laugh and joke around, and they are so sweet and caring with one another. One of my favorite things about Zach and Laura is they are so relaxed and comfortable with each other, in front of the camera, and with life in general. This session was one of the easiest sessions I've ever photographed because of that.

I had so much fun emailing with Laura when she first contacted me about shooting their wedding. I learned they were getting married in Blowing Rock (near Boone, where Will and I lived for 2 years,) she went to Appalachian State and Elon (same as me! but I went to Elon then Appstate...) AND they have a Great Dane/Lab mix.  I felt like I was emailing with myself!  We had so much in common, it was so fun to get to know this couple. I truly enjoyed every minute of their company, and I cannot wait for their big day!

If you're wondering why they chose a golf course for their engagement session, it's because they like to play golf together. I think that's pretty awesome.
