When Doug saw Brittany for the first time, she was hosting a freshman orientation in college and was speaking in front of 1200 students. She immediately caught his eye, and he thought, “I would never have a chance with that girl!” A few weeks later, he began attending church at Brentwood, and Brittany saw him for the first time. She knew everyone in the room, save for the quiet, tall, dark and handsome new guy. Of course when they were introduced, Doug couldn’t have been happier. Soon after, they began hanging out all the time at church and at a coffee shop, and they fell in love in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.

I love their story. I love that each of them, unbeknownst to the other, caught the others’ attention just by being themselves in a room full of people. They weren’t trying, they weren’t acting, they were simply themselves. And after spending so much time together, they realized that they really loved one another.

After capturing these two together, I can say first hand it’s obvious they are meant to be together. They bring out the best in each other, there is joy when they look at one another, and they have the kind of love that I see in couples that have been married 20,30,40 years… a mature love. A faithful love. A loyal love.  Their wedding day was a sweet representation of that love, and Brittany has incredible taste that pulled it all together. I’m so happy for you two… congratulations, Doug and Brittany!

Love this next image and Brittany’s expression. Little did Doug know she was about to surprise him with his Wedding gift… a scotch and cigar bar! He was so excited, and his groomsmen and guests definitely enjoyed his gift as well.

Blessings to you Mr. and Mrs. Werth!
