We continued our journey to Connecticut by train, which was so exciting to me! Not only did I feel like I was living in the 40's, but I got to quietly read and enjoy the scenic view alongside William the whole way. It was wonderful. We took 2 trains in order to arrive in New London, CT, and a beautiful day greeted us. We flip-flopped our itineraries quite a bit, but that's okay because we still did everything we wanted to! The main event was definitely Emily and John's wedding, which was so much fun. (Lots of mini-foods and swing dancing is a recipe for this girl's happiness!) However, if you want to see images from the wedding, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. I won't be posting any here until after Emily shares her wedding images first! Believe me when I say she was stunning, and hopefully these images from the rehearsal dinner will hold you over until she releases the good stuff!
My favorite memories in Connecticut were:
- Riding on the train. Duh!
- Watching Will eat an entire lobster.
- Watching Emily's Dad teach him how to eat a lobster.
- Swing dancing with my man!
- Picking Apples in the Orchard. I will never be the same.
- Drinking fresh hot Apple Cider from Clyde's Cider Mill, and eating an apple cider donut!
- My bubble baths at the Stonington Inn. LOVE that place!
A sweet welcome bag greeted us thanks to Emily & John!

After eating at Kitchen Little, we ventured over to Clyde's Cider Mill. This place was amazing! The photo below that looks like potato salad is actually mashed apples, getting ready to be pressed into cider. It smelled delicious and was so interesting to watch! Thankfully our friends Megan and Steven were there to join us for all the festivities. It was a blast!

Onto the Rehearsal Dinner... we had a blast at Abbott's Lobster in the Rough! It was delicious, and yes, Will ate that entire lobster.
We sadly said goodbye to The Inn at Stonington (my favorite accommodations for the trip), and headed to Newport for some site-seeing. Tomorrow you'll see our adventures in Newport and our stay in Boston!

You + Your Hair = SO CUTE. Seriously, I remember the first thing I thought about you at Love Affair was, “That girl has some seriously awesome hair fixin’ skills.” Still holds true today. Also, can we talk for a moment about how cute you are in your whole yellow card + belt combo. I die! Can’t wait to talk to you tomorrow! XOXO
de-lurking to tell you to feel free to do a post on all your clothing choices and how to do your hair, then we can all be as cute as you!
I so enjoyed looking through your photos, Nanc! Lovely!
Love, love, love!!! Also, I second the hair tutorial post!
Needless to say, I enjoyed these photos. Now I need to find me some apples…
After reading you, i am homesick. I have left home one year, these apples just like ones in my country…
Love your outfits— too cute! The pictures from your trip are gorgeous!
